We want to ensure your event is massive success and that our machines provide fun and entertainment for the entire time the machine is with you. Please read the Terms of hire below. We will require a signed copy of the terms which will be sent to you.
NOTE: Pinball Machines do not fit through standard house doors, so if you are looking for a machine to be sited in your home, please contact us for more information and to discuss your needs.
Tiltworks – Pinball Machine Hire Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings with Tiltworks (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) for the hire of a pinball machine (“the Equipment”). By placing a booking, you (“the Hirer”) agree to the following:
1. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed once a 25% deposit is paid and written/email confirmation is issued.
Full payment must be made upon arrival at the venue unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Prices quoted apply only to the specified machine, date and hire duration.
2. Delivery, Setup & Collection
Tiltworks will deliver, install and test the Equipment at the agreed venue.
The Hirer must ensure safe, unobstructed access for delivery, including suitable parking for loading and unloading.
The Equipment must be placed indoors, on a level, solid floor, within reach of a standard mains power socket (UK 230V).
Once installed, the Equipment must not be moved by the Hirer, guests or venue staff. Only Tiltworks staff may reposition it.
Collection will take place at the agreed time. Delays caused by the venue or Hirer may result in additional charges.
If, upon arrival, a machine cannot be sited due to insufficient space or restricted access such as width of doors, no refunds will be provided.
Set up is limited to ground floor locations only, unless specifically agreed in advance.
It is the Hirer's responsibility to check all elements of access, set up location and any permissions required at the venue.
3. Hire Period
The hire period is the timeframe stated on the booking confirmation.
Extensions may be possible on the day but are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
4. Hirer Responsibilities
The Hirer agrees to:
Provide appropriate supervision, ensuring safe and respectful use of the Equipment at all times.
Prevent guests from leaning on, climbing, striking, shaking, sitting on, or placing items on the Equipment.
Keep liquids, food, glitter, confetti, smoke machine residue and other contaminants away from the machine.
Notify Tiltworks immediately if the Equipment develops a fault or suffers damage.
5. Damage, Loss & Misuse
The Hirer is responsible for any damage caused during the hire period, except for fair wear and tear.
Damage caused by misuse, spills, unauthorised movement or negligence may result in repair or replacement charges.
If the Equipment stops working due to a mechanical or electrical fault not caused by misuse, Tiltworks will attempt to repair or replace it. Refunds will be issued proportionate to any significant loss of use and as a percentage of time not in use (usually hourly based on hire duration).
The Hirer accepts responsibility for loss or theft of the Equipment during the hire period and agrees to reimburse the Company any cost of replacement.
6. Power & Safety Requirements
The Equipment requires a safe, stable, indoor electrical supply.
The Equipment must not be used outdoors unless explicitly agreed by Tiltworks in writing and adequate shelter is provided.
Tiltworks reserves the right to refuse installation if the venue is unsuitable or unsafe.
7. Liability
Tiltworks is not liable for:
Injuries resulting from improper or unsupervised use.
Damage to the venue or surroundings caused by the Hirer, guests or venue staff.
Interruptions caused by venue power loss or unsafe electrical supply.
Tiltworks’ liability is limited to the total hire cost paid.
Nothing in these Terms restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations 14+ days before the event: full refund (minus any non-refundable deposit).
Cancellations within 14 days: 50% of hire fee payable.
Cancellations within 48 hours: full hire fee payable unless exceptional circumstances apply.
9. Force Majeure
Tiltworks is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, transport issues, illness, venue restrictions or power failure.
10. Venue Permissions
The Hirer must ensure the venue permits the use of the Equipment. Any restrictions or refusal remain the Hirer’s responsibility.
11. Photography & Promotion
With your consent, Tiltworks may take photos or short videos of the Equipment in use for promotional purposes. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
